The Cottages of Sunset Heaven are the newest entry to the "hotels and inns" category. Grand opening occurred in early 2008 and from what I hear, they are beautiful. The cottages have easy access to the famous Pinney's Beach and gorgeous views of Basseterre, St. Kitts. What is so special about these cottages is that they are the only accommodations on the island of Nevis (besides the Four Seasons) that gets you right to Pinney's Beach. And the cottages are south of the Cotton Ground area so you get the spectacular night lights from the sister island of St. Kitts on your front deck. |

All the cottages have a complete kitchen, with granite countertops and beautiful mahogany cabinetry. The bedrooms have 4 poster canopy beds, linens are 5 star quality, and the bathrooms have showers that can provide you endless hot water from their tankless heaters. The bathroom vanities are beautiful and, of course, granite countertops. The cottages are within easy walking distance of a local convenience grocery store, and with a short walk along the beach you can get to the island's nicest deli/sandwich shop. Local buses and taxis pass on the main road just 200 yards from the cottages so transportation is easy and convenient. The on-site manager, Junior Jonas, has been a long time resident of Nevis and can steer you to any number of wonderful restaurants and island activities. |

The last time I was in Nevis, October 2007, I did get to see the almost completed cottages, and the location. However, I can't wait to give The Cottages of Sunset Heaven my personal look-see during my next Nevis visit. The location, Pinney's beach access, and stunning views all are pluses in my book. |
