This is one of my favorite places to eat, not only because the food is always good and inexpensive, but also because of the great service and INCREDIBLE
views. If you ever want to find me at sunset on Nevis, then look no further than Oualie Beach. There is nothing I like better than draining a frosty one while watching the sunset. If you are lucky you
might even catch a glimpse of the much sought after "Green Flash", a rare meteorological
phenomenon. The menu at Oualie Beach is wonderfully diverse with different specials almost everyday. There is Conch Chowder for which they are famous for, Tania Fritters, Grilled Lamb
Chops, Toasted Ham & Cheese, etc. The rolls and muffins are fresh baked and the fresh produce is to die for. I especially like the beef rotis, a curried beef stuffed sandwich of sorts. Another nice
touch is the "real" linen and fresh flowers on the tables, no paper napkins here! Oualie Beach serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and light snacks. They are generally open from around 7:30
AM to 9:00 PM. You also will want to be sure to check out their famous West Indian Buffet complete with entertainment. This is only available on Saturday nights and reservations are HIGHLY recommended
The dress at all times is causal to semi formal, no need of a tie or sport coat here.............Thank God! For more information, be sure to visit the Oualie Beach Hotel web site. |
