Nisbet Plantation is set on one of the most beautiful
beaches in Nevis. The grounds too are some of the most beautiful on Nevis. From
the stately palms to grounds that are manicured better than some golf courses, Nisbet is truly heavenly! While I have never actually stayed here, I have seen the rooms and have had some GREAT times here.
The food although a bit pricey, is worth every penny, and the staff is what really makes this place luxurious. After meeting you just once or twice they will know your name and any little
pet desires that you may have. They all know I like beer. There are three restaurants to choose from at Nisbet Plantation. First there is the semiformal dining room in The Great
House, then there is the less formal area by the pool, and last but not least the beach bar. Dinner in The Great House should not be missed, and breakfast at the pool side is the best in Nevis.....bar none, and I
don't even like breakfast. Lunch can be had at the beach bar, and I believe also at the pool side restaurant, not sure about The Great House...but hey, you should be outside enjoying the fine Nevis weather anyway!

I am
especially fond of the beach bar which I make sure to visit several times a week while on holiday. The scenery and people at Nisbet make this a place to consider if you don't mind shelling out a few dollars.
Back in about 2000, I helped make the first two of many of the "Tiki Bars"...just thought I would add that. As you can see from the photo above, the pool at Nevis is one of the finest on
Nevis. The pool is located about 50 feet from the sea, with great views of the water and nearby St. Kitts. The pool is also kept spotlessly clean, and has very little chlorine. FYI, be sure to use
plenty of sun screen here. With the breeze off the ocean, you will not feel any heat, and can be burned quicker than you think. |

All in all,
if you have the means, and want "traditional" Nevis lodging, then this is the place to be. I know that out of all the higher end "hotels" on Nevis, that this would be my first choice. Enjoy your stay!
PS say hello to Allison and Paterson at the beach bar for me, they will take good care of you. By the way, if you are from the UK, then this is the place to be to meet more UK
people. In fact " Holiday" taped a segment in January 1998 from here. I met Jill Dando then...sad about her.

I recently added an online booking site for Nevis hotels, where
you can check rates, availability, and special deals. The site has loads of information and is the ONLY
booking agency that has an "On-Island" agent. A must when you get to Nevis. The added feeling of security in knowing that there is a "real person" on Nevis instead of an toll free number, that doesn't work from Nevis is a great feeling! See link below
