My good friend Greg Fleming aka Shabba with my Grandmother at Tain't Maine Villa, Blue Crescent Estates, Nisbet Beach. I have known Shabba since my very first trip to Nevis. His Mother used to help out with the cooking at Yamseed Inn, alas now gone, when we would stay there. He would come to pick up his Mother after dinner and we would get to talking. Shabba showed me many places on Nevis that I would never had found without him. We had a lot of good times in Nevis, especially in some of the out of the way rum shacks, that I was told I was probably the first tourist to ever venture into. Shabba is also the one that took me to Lifesavers Snackette for the first time. Not only could this guy drink his weight in beer, but he could also eat his weight in food. I suppose that is why he is so big! Sadly Shabba is now living in London, and it has been many years since I have seen him. |
