The Seabrat Fishing Boat- Nevis Water Sports

There are many reefs off Nevis, and hence plenty of reef fish. These reefs also create drop-offs, and it is here where you will find an abundance of game fish, such as Wahoo, Dorado (locally call dolphin fish), Tuna, Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, and Kingfish.  Nevis Water Sports provides you with a choice of two fishing boats, and two types of fishing excursions, Deep Sea and/or Bottom Fishing.

Nevis Water Sports conforms to international (IGFA) sports rules and will release all billfish.  Nevis Water Sports is based at Oualie Beach which boasts the island's only private pier.  Fishing tackle is by Penn International TW 12 to TW 80.

They have been collecting data for some years now, and their studies show that during the months of October to December is peak Wahoo season.  November to February they  catch Tuna and Dolphin fish.  February and March is an excellent time to see Whales.  Be sure not to miss these beautiful creatures!

Captain Julian Rigby is originally from England, where he obtained his licenses and captained many vessels through the English Channel and Europe.  He subsequently purchased a fishing boat and soon became the most successful fisherman in the town of Broadstairs.  Captain Rigby then moved to Nevis, and fell in love with the island.

He has been conducting scuba diving and fishing charters since 1989. His knowledge of fishing is well known.  Julian has participated in and won many fishing tournaments in St. Kitts, Antigua, St. Maarten and Montserrat, where his natural talent for the sport is well known and respected.

Julian and his wife Tracy, are the main organizers for the very popular Nevis Yacht Club Sports Fishing Tournament held annually in October at Oualie Beach.  The tournament has doubled in attendance each year with boats attending from St. Thomas, Angullia, St. Maarten (Dutch) and St. Martin (French) St. Barths, St. Kitts, Montserrat, Antigua and Nevis.  This is an event not to be missed  if you love ocean fishing.
