My general rule of thumb for dining while on holiday in Nevis, is to eat as much seafood, Nevisian
fare, and "local" style chicken as possible. However after a couple of weeks I REALLY get a craving for a homemade pizza! When this craving strikes, well there is only one thing to do.....off to Mem's I go.
From the usual toppings for your pizza you can also order a lobster pizza that is out of this world, or my favorite choice....the "Mem's Inferno" topped with spicy scotch bonnet
peppers. This will really open your eyes and clear your sinuses! Make sure to get a cold Carib beer to go with this one, soda pop just ain't going to cut it. Mem's also
offer other dishes such as burgers, tropical chicken salad, and a wonderful lobster salad just to name a few. If you are an adventuresome diner, you will be sure to want to try the Goatwater on Saturdays
along with rotis, and curried goat. I can personally recommend the rotis. Located in Prospect Gardens, this cozy little roadside restaurant is sure to delight. Open on
Sundays and Mondays from 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM, and Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 AM - 11:00 PM. As always call ahead to verify that they are open. |
