If you find this place............you have been in Nevis for far too long! Seriously though I love this place and stop by almost every night after hitting the local night
spots and parties. I was first introduced to this snackette several years ago, by my good friend Shabba , and to this day I still make this a regular stop. While not actually a restaurant, Lifesavers has the
BEST chicken on Nevis. To say that Lifesavers is not a typical restaurant is more than a slight understatement. It really is more like somebody has opened up their living room and turned
into an all night diner. There is only one small table and about three or four bar stools in the whole place. There is however a picnic table outside where you can take a load off. The other unusual
feature of Lifesavers is the hours that they are open roughly from midnight till 5:00 A.M. Now you understand why it is called Lifesavers, it is the ONLY place on Nevis that you can get something to eat in the wee
hours of the morning. While unusual and not exactly typical, Lifesavers does have great local treats, and the price can't be beat. The restaurant is hard to find as their is no name
above the building, but it is roughly across from Superfoods on Main Street in Charlestown
. So remember when it is late at night and you have a craving for macaroni pie or baked chicken give Lifesavers a try. If you end up here on a
regular basis then you will know that you have become part Nevisian. |
