Golden Rock is a small historic "eco" resort featuring 7 cottages, where you can enjoy nature, art, and the Nevis
environment. There is also a beautiful suite built into a real sugar mill, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean from a steep bluff. The rooms have 4 poster beds, ceiling fans, and cool white ceramic tile
floors. Spacious bathrooms, bedrooms, and front porches are also features of these cottages. You wont want to miss the breakfasts and lunches served in the beautiful courtyard surrounded
by tropical gardens. Saturday night are hopping too with a authentic West Indian buffet and music by a local Nevis string band, The Honeybees. All of this fun starts at 8:00 PM. For non -guests,
reservations several days in advance are recommended. |

Some of the Inn's amenities include, a 50 foot spring fed pool, nature trail, 3-4 hr self-guided rain forest hike, complimentary bus service to town
or the beach where Golden Rock has a lovely beach bar and restaurant. Baby-sitters are available on request and they have free cribs. If I was ever going to shell out the money for a
posh place on Nevis then this would be the place. It is like staying in a living museum! The library is absolutely incredible, and so is the music selection. I love to go here for cocktail hour and
watch the monkeys run around and play in the garden. If you want to see the Green Monkeys on Nevis then this is the place where you stand the best chance to see them. |

I know I am an Oualie Beach fan, but if I ever get married (I DO WANT TO........SERIOUSLY) then this is where I would spend the first night of my
honeymoon. The suite built into the sugar mill is HOPELESSLY romantic. My only complaint, as usual, where's the beach??? Seriously though, this is a MUST see Inn while on Nevis, even if just for a cool
one. |
