When its comes to dining, Golden Rock Plantation Inn gives you the best of both worlds. They have two restaurants! One at the inn which is slightly more
formal, and the other more casual restaurant on Pinney's beach. Both are worthy of a visit, but I of course like the water so you know which one is my favorite. The
restaurant at the inn is know for its lavish attention to detail not only with the food, but to the service and atmosphere too. You can have a lovely breakfast or lunch in the outdoor courtyard, or in
season on Saturday nights you will be sure to want to try the West Indian buffet. This is complete with The Honey Bees string band. Incidentally if you are interested in seeing the green monkeys
on Nevis there is probably no better place than late afternoon early evening from Golden Rock's courtyard. Their beach bar
is equally as famous, and the food just as good too. However it is cheaper, and by the water. Yep, suits me! The restaurant is open 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. daily, except Sunday and is open to anybody. You can enjoy a swim while waiting for your lunch to be prepared, and when it is ready you can rinse off with a shower provided on the premises. You might choose a lobster salad sandwich, toasted ham & cheese, a cheeseburger or several other choices. Of course there is a full bar, and they serve one of the best known Nevis drinks....a Rusty. All this can be had on wonderful wooden picnic tables under the shade of palm trees. After all this you are welcome to catch a few rays on the chaise lounges. Oh yeah, lest I forget they will also cater for beach parties and private dinners. I have never tried this, but I will have to hint that I might like this for my birthday. At any rate you owe it to yourself to try these restaurants.
